Urbana- Alice A. Hildreth 76, of Urbana passed away on Sunday November 29, 2015 at 3:49 P.M. at her home in Urbana. She was born on August 15, 1939 to Merle and Geneva Tate Van Dyke. She married James Hildreth on December 21, 1959 and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son- Robert(Rhonda) Hildreth of Mahomet and one granddaughter-Brooklyn, one grandson- Andrew and a great grandson- Michael, one sister- Donna Van Dyke and one brother- Ernie(Linda) Van Dyke. She is also survived by her extended Hildreth family that has always been a big part of her life and many nieces and nephews and her group of friends-Kay, Judy, Sue, and Bev.

Alice grew up as a local girl graduating from Monticello High School. Her career covered 45 years and retired from Champaign Mental Health after 25 years.

She loved to travel to Florida and went with family this past June to Myrtle Beach, North Carolina and had a great time. She enjoyed Elvis, garage sales, antiquing, and casino’s and in her earlier years traveled to Las Vegas with her girlfriends, she loved helping other people, touched many lives and cared about everyone. The most important thing to Alice was family and friends. Her family would like to Thank the many people who helped along the way on her 9 year battle with cancer.

Visitation for Alice will be held on Thursday December 3, 2015 from 4:00-to-7:00 P.M. at the Morgan Memorial Home 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 4, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the New Horizon United Methodist Church 3002 West Bloomington Rd. Champaign with pastor’s Mark Jordan and Mike Potts officiating. Interment will take place immediately following at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Memorials may be directed to the Mills Cancer Center, New Horizon United Methodist Church or to the Humane Society.
