Urbana – Blake David Fitton, 26 of Urbana passed away at 5:50 a.m., November

27, 2015 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, Illinois.

Blake was born July 22, 1989, in Urbana, to Douglas Sawyer and Melissa Maloney.

Blake was a resident of Urbana and grew up in Champaign-Urbana and Sidney, Illinois.

Surviving are his fiancé Brittany Miller of Urbana; his mom and stepdad Melissa and Brian Maloney of Champaign; his father Douglas Sawyer of Thomasboro; his sisters Brittany (Andrew) Huddle of Champaign, Trisha Fitton of Champaign, Alayna (Alpha) Timbo of Urbana; his two step siblings Alex and Kelly Maloney of Champaign/Mahomet; his three nieces Kaia, Lexi and Aubree; his two nephews Christopher and Arron Jr; and his grandparents.

Blake graduated Parkland College in 2010.  He also had a certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology.  Additionally, he took classes in automotive repair and completed an internship in carpentry. He was very proud that he delivered mail to surrounding U.S. Post Offices.

Blake adored his dogs Milo (Mr. Man), Sophie and Saedee.  He loved cars; however, he especially loved working on restoring his 64 Oldsmobile F85.  Blake enjoyed playing many kinds of gaming systems such as Wii, PS3, PS4, Nintendo, and X-Box. He was excited about the new X-Box 1 Elite and getting it for Christmas.  Blake’s favorite games were Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo; he was looking forward to Fall Out 4.  Blake loved all music; however, his favorite two were Country Music and Rap.  One thing Blake had hoped to do was spend more time traveling.  Blake especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.  They were his surrogate kids and they loved their Uncle Blake.

Most important to Blake was the love he had for his family.  Blake would do anything for anyone including giving the shirt off his back if he thought that would help.  He had a heart of gold.  He was our big teddy bear.  Everyone loved Blake for those various reasons.

Blake we will miss you and love you always!
