Condolences for Charles Brown

Our condolences, prayers and best wishes to the Brown family on your loss. He was a terrific man and, and like others here, we have so many great memories of Charlie. The first ones I remember are Charlie and my Dad, Roscoe Randell, coaching the Pepsi Little League team as assistants to Gene Lowry. Great memories and only more after that. And Dad, well, he has more good things to say about Charlie than I have room to write. He is living in Colorado near my sister Linda and I. He still gets the News-Gazette in the mail and we were all sad to read the news. Godspeed to his family!

My deepest condolence to Charlies family! He was a great man and a good friend! Over the years, I really appreciated his guidance and counsel as we walked through the oat fields of the upper mid west ans Canada. Rest in peace my friend.

How Charles death brings back memories. He was two months older than me, we were in the first grade together in a 2 room school. We started Clemson together in 1944, we double dated together while at Clemson, we played tennis together and both graduated from Clemson together in 1950. His father and my father were in WWI in France together. He was like a brother and we shared so many memories, over the years we became separated but the memories are so great. May God bless and support all of his family.

Charlie was a great and kind scientist. It was my pleasure as a young scientist to meet him and learn from his considerable experience. He and his family will be in my heart and prayers.
