Donna and her husband George owned Dick Young Electric in Champaign for over 25 years. They both retired in July 1999. She worked with George the last 15 years as the bookkeeper and office manager. They were always a team, supporting each other in everything in life.

Donna and George were life long members of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Champaign, formerly Garden Hills Baptist Church. She served on many committees including hospitality, baptismal, as well as teaching vacation bible school every summer all through the years of her children and grandchildren.

After retirement, Donna and George enjoyed the winter months in the sunny, warm climate of Gulf Shores, Alabama. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, walking on the beach, gathering seashells and spending time at their second home church. They were active at Orange Beach Baptist Church, enjoying services, fellowship and weekly bible studies.
Donna loved supporting world missions, including the organization World Vision where over the past 12 years they sponsored a young girl named Gollie, from Malawi, Africa.
