Mr. Rittenhouse was born September 2, 1927, the son of Vern and Ruth Miner Rittenhouse of Mahomet. His wife, Shirley Bash Rittenhouse, survives him. Their devotion to each other was the center of their nearly 45 years together.

Warren is also survived by 5 daughters from their blended family; Jane (Joe) Rittenhouse Marriott, Janice (Chuck) Pfaller Woodward, Linda (Dale) Rittenhouse Stephens, Barbara (Jimmy) Pfaller Exposito, and Jeri (Gary) Rittenhouse Cochran. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren who were very dear to him: Mike (Anna) Webb, Levi Marriott, John (Stacy)Marriott, Jess (Preston) Woodward Quick, Aron Cochran and Peter (Leslie)Woodward. Lastly, there survives the blessing of 11 great-grandchildren: Bella, William, Jasper, Elaina, Arlo, Penny, Eian, Simone, Winnie, Teddy and Jack. He was so very deeply loved and respected by his family. He will be missed every day, forever.
Mr. Rittenhouse was preceded in death by a precious granddaughter , Katie Marie Webb; his parents; his brothers, Ralph, Elmer, Glenn and Wayne; and his sister, Elsie (Joe) Jones.

In the past few years his interests included world traveling with Shirley, collecting Winchester shot guns, shooting clays with the Over the Hill Gang and mowing. Warren had great respect for the land and the honorable profession of farming, which has been at the core of his family for generations. Several of his ancestors, on his mother’s and father’s side of the family, were among the earliest settlers of the Mahomet and Hensley Township area.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may kindly be made to Carle Hospice, 1813 West Kirby Avenue, Champaign, IL, 61820.
